Another great weekend! -
8.0 years ago

For the second consecutive week, both the varsity and junior high wrestling teams had strong performances.  The varsity team had 5 wrestlers place in the top 4 against some tough league competition in our first individual tournament of the season, while the jr. high team took home their second duals trophy in as many weeks.

The varsity team crowned two league champions yesterday.  Noah Sirianni took home his second league title, this year at 113 lbs., defeating Scranton's Josh Rivera in a very exciting 7-5 overtime win.  Nick Carr took home gold at 170 lbs. in very dominant fashion, recording two pins on his way to defeating returning regional 6th place winner, Andrew Burgette in the final with a great 3rd period pin.

Scott Jacoby took home his first league medal as a freshman at 106 yesterday.  I think it's fair to say this young man has a lot more wins coming his way.

Owen Hivner and Adam Wellard both finished 4th place.  Owen had two wins, one by pin in the 182lb. weight class.  No easy task for a sophmore.  Adam also had two exciting wins at 195, outscoring his opponents 8-6 and 8-7.

Sean Myers and Chris Langan also recorded wins by way of pin.

Jr. high went 4-1 at the Solomon Plains Duals, taking home a third place trophy.  The team recorded dominant wins over Delaware Valley, Myers and Elk Lake.  Great performances from Brandon Grogan, James Brown , Billy Peters, Noah Johnson going 5-0 on the day
