Dear Parents,
In order for your child to be eligible for junior high basketball tryouts, all athletes must turn in the Abington Heights Athletic Participation form and the PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-participation Physical Examination (CIPPE) form to our athletic director, Mr. Randy Hanyon, at the high school no later than Thursday, November 1st, 2018. Returning Athletes who participated in a school sport for the Fall of 2018 season will have their Athletic Participation forms on file & will only need to turn in a Recertification by parent/guardian form (section 7). Please read carefully, you may also need to complete section 8 and see a physician for clearance.
A physician will be available to complete physicals on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the High School Field House for $15.00. Players may get a physical from their own doctor, but they must have this information completed on the school physical participation forms. The physical participation form and recertification forms are located on the school’s athletic website http://www.ahsdathletics.org under forms. No student may participate in tryouts without all completed physical participation/recertification forms. All players are encouraged to complete & turn in all forms early to Mr. Hanyon at the high school.
Non-Mandatory Conditioning Dates
*There will be non-mandatory conditioning for any student interested in trying out for the junior high boy’s 7th or 8th grade basketball teams at the middle school on the following dates:
Monday, November 5th from 2:15 pm – 4 pm
Thursday, November 8th from 6 pm – 8 pm
Monday, November 12th from 2:15 pm – 4 pm

Friday, November 16th – 2:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Monday, November 19th – 2:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Tuesday, November 20th – 2:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
7th Grade Tryouts (All tryouts will be held at the AH Middle School)
Friday, November 16th – 3:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Monday, November 19th – 3:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Tuesday, November 20th – 3:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
