AH 13     Northeast Intermediate School 2

The Abington Heights Girls Jr High Softball team defeated Northeast Intermediate School 13-2. The Lady Comets bats came alive in the fourth inning to finish the game with a total of 15 hits. Avery Fiorillo had three hits, including two doubles and 6 RBI’s. Megan Heard and Tawni Coronel both doubled while Margrette Phillips smoked two key hits with two outs knocking in two runs. Colleen Cole and Lauryn Notari chipped in with two hits each. Tawni Coronel made two spectacular catches in center field while Colleen Cole and Ava Stafursky made nice fielding plays to lead the defense. Avery Fiorillo tossed a three hitter allowing 1 earned run and she struck out 12 batters to pick up the win.
